What Is Leads Center in Meta Business Suite?

Think of Leads Center as a simple lead tracker built into Meta’s own tools. Instead of exporting a spreadsheet to see who filled in your form, you open one screen that lists leads from your Meta lead ads and business chats, then move each person along as your team follows up. You reach it in Meta Business Suite from the Leads Center item in the menu, or under All tools in the Engage audience group.

Which leads appear in Leads Center automatically?

Meta adds leads from these sources without you doing anything:

1. Lead ads with instant forms.
2. Lead ads that click to message, whether the person finished the chat flow or not.
3. Contacts from ads that click to Messenger or Instagram Direct.
4. Organic Messenger and Instagram Direct chats you mark as “lead” in the inbox.
5. Appointment bookings, and outcomes Meta detects automatically as lead intent.

You can also add leads one at a time or upload a CSV, XLS or XLSX file, which lets you keep leads from other sources in the same place.

What can you do with a lead?

How do you add or upload leads?

1. Open Leads Center and click the + Add leads dropdown.
2. Choose Create lead to enter one person’s name, phone and email, then click Confirm.
3. Or choose Upload leads, optionally paste up to 10 rows under Check spreadsheet format to test your file, then click Upload file.
4. Click Continue to finish the upload.

To add someone from the inbox, open their message and click Mark as lead under Lead tracking on the contact card.

Who can use Leads Center?

Meta says existing Page admins have access. To let a teammate in without making them an admin, open Leads Center, click the gear icon, go to Permissions, click + Add permissions and enter their name or email. You need leads access yourself to use Leads Center.

What fields does a Leads Center export include?

Meta says the Leads Center CSV is limited to date, name, email address, phone number, stage, source and owner, and each file shows up to 10,000 leads. For full form answers and ad IDs, download from Ads Manager or Instant forms in Business Suite instead.

Can I see which ad a lead came from?

Yes. For leads from Meta ads, click the Paid source label. For ads that click to message, a View results window shows performance, audience and an ad preview. For instant form leads, you’ll see a preview of the form the person filled in.

Can I message leads from Leads Center?

Yes, for leads generated organically and from ads that click to message, on both Messenger and Instagram. Click the channel label, such as Messenger or Instagram, on the lead you want to chat with, and a chat head opens at the bottom of the screen so you can continue the conversation.
